Privacy Policy

1. What we don't collect

Bat Client runs without logging, tracking, or sending out your personal data. To be clear:

• No personal records. We don't store your name, email, address, or IP tied to your identity.
• No account credentials. The client never sees your Minecraft, Microsoft, or other passwords. Authentication happens through the official Mojang/Microsoft sign-in pages, directly.
• No behavioral tracking. We don't run spyware or background analytics to watch what else runs on your machine.

2. Your settings stay on your machine

Everything you configure in Bat Client — cosmetic tweaks, HUD layout, keybinds, performance settings — is saved to files on your own machine. It never uploads anywhere.

3. Crash logs are local

If Bat Client crashes, it writes a log file on your computer with technical details like your OS, GPU, memory, and the Java stack at the moment of failure. This log never gets sent to us automatically. You only share it if you choose to attach it to a support message.

4. This website

When you visit batclient.xyz or the launcher checks for updates, the server logs routine stuff — roughly where you are, how many downloads, browser type, and which page sent you. This is standard hosting noise used to keep things running and plan capacity. It isn't used to identify you.

5. Ads and consent

Banner ads on this site come from HalalSpark, a halal-certified network where every campaign is reviewed by a human before it runs — no gambling, adult content, or shady stuff. Ads keep Bat Client free.

• Accept & Continue — allows advertising cookies, unlocks the site, and loads halal-certified ads.
• No thanks — take me away — declines cookies and leaves the site. No non-essential cookies or ad scripts are set.

6. Accounts & sign-in

Bat Client lets you add Minecraft accounts to the launcher for convenience. Those credentials are only used to talk to Mojang's or Microsoft's official authentication endpoints at the moment you sign in — we never receive, store, or transmit your password. The access token that lets you play is kept on your own machine and used only by the launcher.

7. Links to other sites

The site links out to Discord, YouTube, and GitHub. Those sites have their own tracking, cookies, and rules. We'd suggest checking theirs if you spend much time there.

8. Kids' privacy

We're mindful that younger players use this. Since Bat Client collects no data at all, we don't knowingly gather or process any personal information from minors either. We comply with COPPA and GDPR.

9. Your rights

Because we don't hold personal data about you in the first place, most classic data-privacy rights are already satisfied by default — there's nothing of yours stored for us to show, correct, or delete. Regardless, you can always write to us (details under Questions) and we'll do our best to help, including: accessing or confirming what we hold, requesting deletion, and asking how your data is handled.

10. Data retention

Server logs from this website and update checks are kept only as long as nginx/hosting defaults retain them for operational purposes (typically a few weeks), then rotated automatically. They aren't mined, sold, or tied to identities. If you submit a support message or bug report, we keep just enough to resolve your issue and delete it once the thread is closed.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If you keep using Bat Client after that, you're agreeing to the updated version.
